I would like to introduce you to Canada’s Professional DJ/KJ association, The Canadian Association of Mobile Entertainers and Operators.

The Canadian Association of Mobile Entertainers and Operators was formed in January of 2000 by a dedicated group of DJ professionals from all across Canada.  All were long time DJs and past members of other associations, who felt the need to create a new association with better and different benefits, and a new approach to the problems and concerns facing us in the industry today.

The Canadian Association of Mobile Entertainers and Operators is a "not for-profit association" whose mandate is to provide benefits, programs and services for our member DJ/KJ operators across Canada, taking into consideration their regional differences.   We represent professional mobile and nightclub disc jockeys and karaoke jocks through our regional networking groups and district offices across Canada.

Over the years, there has been a huge number of changes to this industry and in the way services operate.  New government guidelines and licenses have broken new ground for the DJs and KJs in this market.  All members of CAMEO must meet these new requirements and through our networking via internet, newsletters, trade shows, seminars, and local chapter meetings, we educate and train these members.  The end result is a better professional performance at your event and a you become a satisfied client.  The DJ and KJ business has grown from the 'record (LP) spinners' of years ago into a high tech world where the service can have $20,000 or more in music and equipment (plus backup equipment) at a minimum in order to ensure the success of your party. 

When choosing your DJ or KJ service, big prices doesn't always mean you are getting the best service, but a low price generally will mean that the service maybe substandard and probably not a member of a professional association or trade organization.
