Industry Supplier membership
This member is a representative, owner or operator of a business related to the DJ service industry, which wishes to support the objectives and goals of CAMEO and it’s members. The company will receive promotional support from CAMEO in respect to its members. There is also partial access to the benefits programs. Cost is:
Manufacturers $200.00 per year, plus G.S.T.
Retailers $200.00 per year, plus G.S.T.
A one-time initiation fee of $20.00 is required.

for the Canadian Association of Mobile Entertainers and Operators are available by contacting us at the address and number below or on our Website.  Membership is based on a full calendar year January to December. Members joining part way through the year will pay the full fee and will be pro-rated in their second year of membership to our calander year end.

Qualifications For Membership

Applicants for FULL membership in the Canadian Association of Mobile Entertainers and Operators must meet and agree to the following.

 ALL APPLICANTS MUST:

• Supply proof that they carry a liability insurance policy for each system in their service or apply for policies with their membership in the Canadian Association of Mobile Entertainers and Operators.   Proof of liability insurance MUST be forwarded to the National Office.
• Have registered their business with (or if operating as an individual; ie: John Doe, DJ; must abide by the regulations of) the appropriate provincial or federal authority, and must file tax returns annually with Revenue Canada either personally or as a corporation.
• Provide or have access to back up equipment and staff in the event of emergencies and be able to provide a minimum of two playback units, of professional quality, in any combination of turntables, tape decks, CD or mini disc players at each function.  The operator and systems must be capable of adequately handling the requirements of the functions contracted, taking into consideration the size of the hall, number of attendees and type of function.
• Operate their business in a professional and legal manner with respect to client contracts, acceptance of functions and telephone use.  All CAMEO accounts must be kept current.
• Agree to promote themselves to consumers and other DJs as a member of the Canadian Association of Mobile Entertainers and Operators and to refer all overflow bookings only to other members or to the National Office.
• Agree to adhere to the standards and bylaws of the Canadian Association of Mobile Entertainers and Operators.
  

REJECTION OF MEMBERSHIP

Any applicant may be rejected for membership in CAMEO if found to have made misleading or false statements on any application form or other documents required for membership.  An applicant may also be refused if there is evidence of unresolved consumer complaints or complaints from other members about the applicant’s actions or business practices.

SUSPENSION OF MEMBERSHIP

Any member found to have made a false or misleading statement on any CAMEO applications or documents will have their membership suspended immediately.   Any member having 2 unresolved consumer complaints in a calendar year will have their membership suspended and is forever disallowed from rejoining the association.

PAYMENT OPTIONS

Membership dues are payable in full upon application.

NOTE: There is a $25.00 charge for any cheques returned by your bank.

Please forward your completed application form and all other necessary documents to the address listed below.  Please follow up your application with a call to our office within 7 business days to make sure we have received it.  We recommend you use a courier or express mail for all documents.
